Ben Hering is the Strategic Account Manager for CUCollaborate and has worked in the credit union industry for over eleven years. At CUCollaborate, Ben leads credit union system partnerships, assists with account management, and manages special projects. Previously, he has worked at the state league and a natural person credit union in Minnesota.

Most recently, as the Director of Engagement for the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN), Ben supported credit unions by facilitating educational programming, product, and service project management, and providing avenues for collaboration. He led CU Forward Day, a statewide kindness initiative, and the WINcentive Savings Program, incentivizing consumers to grow healthy savings behaviors. He worked alongside the Association for Black Economic Development (ABEP) as one of the original organizers to launch the state's only Black-led credit union, Arise Community Credit Union.

Before his time with MnCUN, Ben worked at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, where he spent most of his six years guiding the credit union's business development efforts to grow membership through innovative services, outreach, and partnerships.

Ben graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in psychology. He has been recognized with the AACUC Commitment to Change Young Professional Leadership Award (African American Credit Union Coalition), as a Credit Union Rockstar (Credit Union Magazine), the Emerging Leader of the Year (Minneapolis Regional Chamber), and a Next Top Credit Union Executive Finalist (CUES). He currently sits on the board of ABEP as the Secretary.
