Looking ahead, credit unions will continue to face stiff competition, a rising and evolving technology environment, significant regulatory and taxation uncertainties, and human resources succession challenges. Credit union volunteers and management are challenged to think strategically and consider how they will thrive in a market that looks very different from today’s environment. To be successful, they must consider which capabilities to focus on across many potential scenarios. Never has role clarity between governance and management been more important.
