Jim Phelps is a skilled leader with more than two decades of experience in trade associations, government relations, and financial services. He relocated to Texas in 2002 and became a league representative with the Texas Credit Union League. He is currently the EVP and chief advocacy officer at Cornerstone League, overseeing Cornerstone's government relations function across Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas, as well as the league's engagement programs. He created and implemented Cornerstone's Credit Union Young Professionals Program and has served three boards of directors as a collaborative member of the executive management team. He is a Certified Association Executive and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University.
