As a first-generation U.S. immigrant born and raised in Panama, Corro draws attention to underserved consumers' financial struggles and cultural nuances and finds solutions. With over 25 years in corporate leadership and consulting, Corro unifies parties to make financial inclusion and well-being a reality. As co-founder of the Credit Union DEI Collective, he furthers DEI in the credit union industry. Corro studied at the University of Wisconsin as a Fulbright Scholar, earning a degree in Economics and Latin American Studies.

Lily Newfarmer is the president/CEO of Tarrant County’s Credit Union in Fort Worth. She has spent her career serving the credit union industry. She graduated from the University of Madrid, Spain in 1985 with a BA in business/finance and obtained her CUDE in 2008. She is a 1999 graduate of SCMS and has been part of the SCMS faculty for over 20 years. She has served on many prestigious boards, including the Cornerstone Foundation for 17 years. She is a founding member and chair of the Credit Union Women’s Leadership Alliance (CUWLA). Cornerstone named Newfarmer the 2017 Professional of the Year, and in 2022, she was one of 20 women inducted into America’s Credit Union Museum, “Credit Union Women Making History: Herstory.”

His business books are used in over 200 universities and he has received an honorary doctorate for his groundbreaking work. His latest book,The Focus Project, is a guide to pursuing less in order to achieve more. Qualman was formerly a sitting professor at Harvard & MIT’s edX labs.
