Laura Eblen is vice president of member engagement and governmental affairs at Mazuma Credit Union in Kansas City. She began her credit union career in 2001 and was named a CUNA CU Rock Star in 2017. Eblen helped build The Cooperative Trust with the Filene Research Institute and later served as a collaborating innovator in Filene’s i3 program. A high honors graduate of Credit Union Management School, she earned her Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation in 2009 and has served as a graduate advisor since 2018. She also holds CUDE, CanadaDE, and international credit union development education certifications. Eblen is active in America’s Credit Unions’ Political Grassroots Network and serves as an executive leader for the Cornerstone League Payments & Operations Council.
