BAND

What band is playing?

Dylan Gossett is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. Gossett began writing and recording music during his early teen years using Garage Band on his mother’s computer. Throughout high school, college at Texas A&M, and a job at Formula 1 Racing, music remained Gossett’s true passion. Inspired to finally release music by a new generation of singer-songwriters he saw emerging online, Dylan began posting videos of his songs in April 2023—immediately, his music struck a chord with a global audience.

Gossett released his first single “To Be Free” (entirely self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom) in June 2023. Shortly thereafter, he teased a snippet of what would become his next song and breakout viral hit “Coal.” The video instantly took off, gaining over one million views within the first week. He quickly got back into his bedroom and created the song from scratch before releasing it in July 2023.

Since its release, “Coal” has garnered over400 million global streams, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and climbed the Spotify U.S. Top 200. The New York Times called “Coal” “oneof the year’s best country songs,” and Billboard declared, “‘Coal’ and ‘To Be Free’ position Gossett as a formidable, heart-on-his-sleeve singer-songwriter with immense potential.”

WORKING TOGETHER

Who is hosting this awesome event?

INSPIRATION

Why are we doing this?

This is our favorite question.

Events like this bring our industry together for a common, important mission and raises transformative funds for CMN hospitals in our own communities. Credit unions and Children's Miracle Network have enjoyed a strong connection for decades. In 1996 the partnership was formalized into a program called Credit Union for Kids.

Committee chair Caroline Willard visited Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, TX and experienced firsthand how our efforts directly impact families in need.

Credit Unions for Kids is a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners from across the country engaged in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Our industry cares about our communities and one of the most important ways we do that is by supporting our local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Children's Miracle Network
Whether they suffer from common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or fight bigger challenges like birth defects or cancer, Children’s Miracle Network provides comfort, treatment, and hope to millions of sick kids. In fact, Children’s Miracle Network hospitals treat one in 10 children in North America each year. It is the world’s largest children’s charity, providing $3.4 billion in charity care which supports cutting-edge, life-saving research and funds the development of new, innovative technology which eases pain and lengthens lives.
