Kathleen Coulombe is the Chief Advocacy Officer at America's Credit Unions, the nation's premier trade association for the credit union movement. In this role, she is the chief architect of the association's advocacy strategy, driving a unified and influential voice before Congress, federal regulators, and stakeholders across the financial services sector. She leads the charge on the issues that matter most to credit unions and the 140 million Americans they serve.

Before joining America's Credit Unions, Kathleen served as Senior Vice President, Federal Relations at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), where she directed the organization's federal advocacy operation. Prior to ACLI, she served as Senior Advisor of Government Relations at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), managing the federal tax, retirement, and benefits portfolio.

Kathleen's career in public policy began after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, when she joined the Las Vegas office of Nevada Governor Kenny C. Guinn as Deputy Director of Constituent Services and Las Vegas Assistant to the Governor. In 2004, she moved to Washington, DC to join the Department of Defense's Directorate of Defense Systems before finding her home in advocacy at SHRM in 2005. She holds a Master of Public Policy from The George Washington University, where she was a Scottish Rite Fellow.

Born in Munich, Germany, while her father served in the U.S. Air Force, Kathleen has lived across the U.S. and Canada. She now calls Arlington, Virginia home, where she lives with her husband, four children, and three fur babies.
