Courtney Moran joined the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation in 2004, assuming the role of Executive Director in 2009. Her current focus is to provide leadership and strategic direction based on the initiatives, philosophy, and mission of the Foundation. Her previous work in the financial services industry included areas ranging from operations to marketing.

Courtney oversees the overall operations of the Foundation, including the Financial Wellness initiative, the grants and scholarships programs as well as daily fundraising.

Moran earned her Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) status in 2009 and her International CUDE designation in 2013 through her financial education work in Belize, a Nonprofit Leadership Certificate from the Center for Nonprofit Management and Southern Methodist University in 2011 and became a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor through CUNA’s FiCEP program in 2012. She previously served on the Texas Jump$tart Coalition’s board of directors, was a member of the Advisory Council and Outreach committee for Biz Kid$, served as Secretary on the National Credit Union Foundation board and currently serves as an advisory board member of the University of Texas at Arlington’s Financial Literacy and Personal Finance Center.

Courtney was recognized as the National Youth Involvement Board’s “Volunteer of the Year” in August 2006. She also received the Chairman’s Award for her work as the Chairman of the Texas Jump$tart Coalition, presented by the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Financial Planning Association in October 2006. The Cornerstone League named Moran the 2006 and 2019 “Manager of the Year” and was selected as a Credit Union Rock Star by Credit Union Magazine in 2014.
