Sharon Delaney McCloud is an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, TEDx speaker, Certified Diversity Executive CDE®, agency owner, adjunct professor, cancer survivor, Olympic Torch Bearer, author and communications expert who helps leaders & teams improve communication and executive presence to drive business results. As an active member of the National Speakers Association, Sharon engages and connects with people, while at the same time, offering actionable insights. Through her professional development practice at Walk West, a full-service marketing agency, Sharon works with C-Suite executives and emerging leaders at global organizations on developing their message and delivering it with confidence and impact. In particular, building women's executive presence is Sharon's passion and one of her most popular programs and keynotes.
Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Florida State University before embarking on a career as a television journalist. From the Persian Gulf War to John Glenn's historic return to space to the Super Bowl to hurricanes, floods, politics and entertainment, she has covered a multitude of stories that have affected people's lives on a daily basis. Sharon also moderated gubernatorial and mayoral debates throughout North Carolina and served as a mentor for young journalists beginning their careers.
