Economist and author Andrew Busch is a consultant and keynote speaker with clients that include financial services, energy, manufacturing, and construction. He was the first chief market intelligence officer for the U.S. government at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where he also created and directed the Market Intelligence Branch. His job was to provide objective research on the financial markets to the CFTC, SEC, U.S. Treasury, and Federal Reserve. Each week, Busch led a market and economic roundtable discussion with the staff of the White House, the U.S. Treasury, the SEC, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Federal Reserve Board. He authored “World Event Trading” covering large crises like infectious disease outbreaks and their impact on the markets.
