Technological advancements over the past several years have been unprecedented. Things once the subject of sci-fi movies are becoming a reality. Human resources departments are leveraging new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to perform tasks traditionally performed by people. This session explores AI: how it's changing HR, its potential benefits, and its associated legal risks. We will study examples of AI used to recruit and vet new hires, predict employee attrition, engage and monitor employees, ensure compliance, and perform other tasks. We'll also discuss the legal risks that arise from using this emerging technology and what HR departments can do now to minimize their legal exposure.
