Jay Shah joined the research and technical activities staff of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) in 2013 where he leads projects that analyze technical accounting issues. He is also for developing potential solutions that take into consideration the needs of financial statement users and related implementation outcomes. Shah began his career in public accounting at RSM, performing auditing services for banking institutions. He also served as an assistant vice president for a leading banking institution where he prepared annual and quarterly financial statements, evaluated investments held in the institutions pension fund, and prepared financials to be issued to the Department of Labor.
