Why the No Nonsense Experience?

Diversity, inclusion, and bias are needed in every aspect of the workplace and our personal lives. Many are uncomfortable having conversations that surround the Big 8 (gender, sexuality, politics, age, ability/disability, socioeconomics and religion). It’s time to start having conversations that are the RIGHT Kind of uncomfortable.

About the Series

The No Nonsense Experience (NNE) is about being “The RIGHT kind of uncomfortable.” The Zoom webinar will be led by James Pogue, PhD, and his team at JP Enterprises.

During this small group workshop, you will learn how to have conversations about Diversity, Inclusion, and Bias (DIB) within your credit union. You will expand your knowledge on this timely and relevant topic as you interact with others in a facilitated conversation. Your group will meet for one hour each week for four weeks.

Course Format

Over the four weeks, you will investigate the Diversity, Inclusion, and Bias (DIBs) Big 8: race, gender, socioeconomics, (dis)ability, age, sexuality, religion, and politics. The sessions employ a challenging and supported cohort learning model in which trained facilitators will help participants build the comfort and strength to handle these challenging topics. The sessions will help participants:

  • Leverage race as a platform for deeper discussion as they unpack unconscious bias
  • Build strategies for change through guided conversations
