Lily Newfarmer, president/CEO of Tarrant County’s Credit Union in Fort Worth, has served the movement for more than 30 years. She is a 1999 graduate of Southwest CUNA Management School and has served on SCMS faculty for 20 years. In 2008, Newfarmer was selected as the SCMSAA Alumnus of the Year. She obtained her Credit Union Development Educator designation in 2008. She has been a board trustee and past chairman for Cornerstone Foundation and currently serves as CUDE advisory trustee. She also serves on Cornerstone League’s International Relationship Committee, CUNA’s World Affairs Committee, and is a director on the National Credit Union Foundation board. Cornerstone League named Newfarmer its 2017 Credit Union Professional of the Year.
